Jane: An Abortion Service – Film and Panel Discussion

Join Midwest Access Project and the University of Chicago Film Studies Center on March 1, 2018 for a free public documentary screening and discussion. The film, “Jane: An Abortion Service,” tells the story of the underground women’s network in Chicago that provided abortions from 1969 to 1973 when it was illegal in Illinois and most other states. Learn more about Jane in this recent “All Things Considered” piece.

A MAP trainee alumni will participate in a post-screening panel discussion about the film and the current state of reproductive health and rights. The March 1 event will be held at the Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th St., at 7:00 p.m. with doors openings 30 minutes in advance. Seating is first come, first served; no RSVPs are taken. Get more event details at the University of Chicago Film Studies Center website.
